FAQFrequently asked questions

Question: Hello, I would like to buy LED bulbs with your company and I need advice on what kind of bulbs I should get. The LED bulbs will go to the living room ceiling light (at the moment there are six 35W halogen bulbs, screw cap GU 10). Could you tell me which bulb is best? I have chosen either HPWW3-GU10 or SMD-WW20-GU10. I am interested in luminous intensity and beam angle. I want the one which lights the space best.

Answer: LED lights SMD-WW20-GU10 have a wider beam angle and this is their advantage. On the other hand after about 2 metres the level of luminous intensity rapidly decreases which does not usually causes a problem with home lighting as it is not desirable to light the floor but the space above it. LED lights HPWW3-GU10 have a narrower beam angle but they provide enough light even in the distance longer than 2 metres. They are usually used for ceiling lights above coffee tables or wherever you need intense lighting. They are favoured for diffused lighting (rebounding from a wall) and revolving lights. For example for HPWW3 the diameter of luminous cone in the distance of 1 meter from the light is 1 meter and in the distance of 2 meters, the luminous cone diameter is 2 meters. ...
It is up to you which type of lighting you prefer. You can combine different LED lights. The price stays the same.

Question: Query on LED bulbs HPWW3-MR16: Are they suitable for constant lightening in restaurants for about 6 hours daily? How important is exact transformer voltage 12V/AC and its VA relating to the number of LED bulbs?. Thanks for your answer.

Answer: LED lights are in general suitable for all-day lighting, as well as frequent switching on and off. 12V feeding is necessary for type HPWW3 – MR16 and with the span of 10,8-12,7V its service life is not affected.
If you are going to use a voltage supply for feeding the LED lights, choose its size according to the total WATT value of all used LED lights plus 20% reserve in order not to overcharge the voltage supply and thus not to shorten its lifespan which will probably be shorter anyway..

Question: Hello, I have decided to turn to you as a professional company in the field of LED lights and ask you to help me solve my problem. Could you recommend me LED lightning for the plasterboard ceiling in my bathroom? The room is about 5 square meters large, the number of LED lamps is 10 and the facing is orange and white. What kind of LED lighting would be suitable there? Thank you for your answer.

Answer: According to what you have written I would opt for SMD-W20-GU10 type. The beam angle of these LED bulbs is 140º, so it does not give rise to the feeling of a poorly illuminated upper part and dark corners, as it might be with spot bulbs with a narrower beam angel. As for colour, I would choose white even though it is rejected by some of our customers as too cold (it is a matter of taste). White colour does not deform colours and fitting stays white while with warm white LED bulbs it turns slightly yellow. Furthermore the light intensity is by about one third higher than that of the same bulb with warm white light colour.

Question: Hello, I need LED bulbs for a corridor of about 5x3 m. At the moment there two lights and in each of them there are four 50watt halogen bulbs. I am thinking of SMD-WW12-GU10 LED bulbs and I would like to know if these bulbs will be sufficient as a substitute for the old ones or if I should take other bulbs, for example some HPW3. What are the differences between different types of your bulbs and which would you recommend? As for colour, I would like it to be as similar to the current halogen bulbs as possible.

Answer: Bulbs SMD-WW12-GU10 (beam angle 140°) are used to light space within the range of 1-1,5 m, then the rate of lighting falls sharply. So I would recommend these bulbs rather for shorter distances, for places where intensive lighting is not necessary or for smaller space. Bulbs HPWW3-GU10 (beam angle 38º) have much higher rate of lighting even for longer distances (up to 4 meters), but you should take into account that they have a narrower beam angle (the incident light cone corresponds to the following equation: 1 meter of distance = 1 meter of light cone diameter, 2 meters = 2 metres, …..).
You can also use LED bulb SMD-WW20-GU10, which is a stronger version of SMD-WW12-GU10 and its properties are close to halogen spot lights that you have mentioned. Letters WW stand for ‘warm white’ light colour, whereas letter W represents daily white light colour.

Question: Hello, I would like to ask about LED bulb SMD-WW12-E14 (warm white) 140º, catalogue number 8595228302064.
What kind of classical bulb can it serve as a substitute for (40W, 50W,…)? Thank you. Answer: This LED bulb roughly matches a 20W halogen bulb. A stronger version is LED bulb SMD-WW20-E14 which matches a 35W halogen bulb.

Question: Hello, I would like to ask some questions. I would like to buy orientation light OS-K-W12 Nautilus. My question is: is it possible to fit it into a wall? I have read that this light is installed in box KU68, so it should be possible. Am I right?
And if it is possible to fit it into a wall, does the light screw into box KU68? What I am concerned about is whether it is easy to replace a worn out bulb with a new one. Thank you very much for your answers.

Answer: You are right. The light is wall-mounted and is meant to be fitted into a wall. As for the installation: the light consists of two parts.
The body of the light is fixed with two screws to box KU68, in a similar way as a socket. Then you put on the cover and screw it tight with another screw. It is very easy; the instructions for use are part of the product.
